How We First Met: Falco and His Cinelli Vigorelli

"Hey, my name is Falco and I’m from Dresden, Germany.
I discovered my love for cycling in 2017. My brother bought a fixed gear, which I thought was really cool. I started watching YouTube videos and really wanted to have a bike just like that. I remembered that my dad had an old track frame lying around which was perfect for me to build up as a fixed gear. On the first ride I wanted to practice skidding because safety first. Unfortunately the frame was damaged after skidding 10 times.
So I started to research on the world wide web to see what I might like. It was clear to me that I definitely didn't want an ordinary brand and that's how I came across Cinelli - Sick! I thought to myself and bought a Vigorosa. How beautiful a bike can be! It actually taught me fixie riding.

My brother then took me to some fixed gear races and I thought to myself: I want that, too! So I trained, trained and trained while my brother had the idea of starting a racing team - which was the birth of Kolibri Cycling.
Our mindset: minimalist, punky and fast. Now we are 16 team riders and have created a large community.
Back to me: I did quite well in my first races, I learned technical skills and gained experience. Now I win a lot of races and am often on the podium.

Because riding fixed gear alone wasn't enough for me, I decided to buy a racing bike and a gravel bike - from Cinelli of course. Now there are 7 Cinelli's hanging on my wall.
Races I will take part in this year: Fixed Gear World Championship (Fixed 42) in Berlin, Zurich Crit and some other races in Germany. In fall I'll be racing cyclocross.
Riding a bike has become a way of life for me. A different kind of meditation.
