The mechanic’s jacket is inspired by the jackets we have seen in use over the years on the factory floor’s shared between Cinelli and Columbus here in Milan. Treasured relics of sweat, oil, steel and pride that are worn down to the last loose thread, repaired and mended with new patches, found patches, stolen patches…
This black edition is the second edition we’ve made and the first ever offered for sale to the public. The jacket itself is of the highest quality available on the workwear market, made in Italy from a heavyweight German 60/40 cotton-polyester twill, designed and manufactured to last through decades of work. The patches themselves are a mix of factory classics (oblong Cinelli, Columbus dove) and more esoteric and rare special editions, originally produced for our 75th anniversary apparel collection.
Made in an extremely limited edition these jackets will never be released again in this exact configuration.
